Scouting Report
Summary:
Levi is new to the Uchenna Academy prep program and is one of the youngest players on the senior roster, but he is already showing tremendous potential. His athleticism is immediately noticeable, and he has adapted quickly to the speed and intensity of high-level competition. Despite his age, he doesn’t shy away from challenges and continues to improve the more he plays. As he gains more experience and confidence, Levi is projected to become a key contributor, especially as his understanding of team systems and decision-making develops. His growth curve is steep, and continued minutes will accelerate his progress.
Strengths:
Levi’s standout quality is his athleticism, which is already well above average for his age, and it directly supports his development as a future lead guard. His ability to block shots on the perimeter speaks to his length, timing, and defensive range, traits that translate extremely well to guarding opposing point guards and wings. As a ball-handler, he has the foundational tools to initiate offense: he can push tempo, get downhill, and create advantages off the dribble. With continued reps, he will grow more comfortable reading defenses, organizing teammates, and balancing scoring with playmaking. His shot is steadily improving, and he trains with intent and consistency. As he matures physically and gains more game experience, Levi projects as a high-level, two-way point guard capable of impacting the game on both ends of the floor.
What We Are Working On:
We are working with Levi on improving his team defense and overall court awareness. He tends to focus closely on his assignment and can sometimes miss opportunities to provide help or rotate when the defense breaks down. As he gains more experience within the team’s defensive schemes, this awareness will improve naturally. Furthermore, as we continue his development as a point guard, he will need more game reps handling pressure, organizing offense, and making quick reads. These improvements are expected to come with time, physical development, and continued exposure to high-level competition.
